AnarkikAngels is all about creating affordable innovative haptic (virtual touch) 3D sketch modelling software that is easily accessible so everyone can use it.
And a small but vital group of Stakeholders, our early adopters, are central to development of Cloud9 through their informed feedback about what they like/dislike, any system crashes and bugs, problems with set-up onto their computers, the type of work being done and the range of features be good to have developed and included.
This group are all professional designer makers and 3D artists, actively using Cloud9 in their practise.
Stakeholder recruitment has been scaled down and is now by invitation only. Although we have focused on attracting designers, applied artists, designer makers, and artists, there are other sectors where we would like to have a level of representation. These include architecture and schools and teachers (primary and secondary).
By becoming a stakeholder you receive the software at a reduced price with all new updates for at least 18 months. A1 Technologies (www.a1-tech.co.uk), in London, now stocks the Novint Falcon Haptic device that Cloud9 uses. The full haptic application, i.e. Cloud9 bundled with the Falcon, sells as ‘Chameleon’ for £495. We have an agreement with A1 that a specific number of selected stakeholders can purchase Chameleon for under £400 + VAT.
The deal is that stakeholders keep Anarkik3D informed through feedback about what they like/dislike, any system crashes and bugs, problems with setting up onto their computers, the type of work being done (with illustrations if this is possible!) and the range of features be good to have developed and included.
